Ashburn to try to allow UTVs on city streets

On a split vote, The Ashburn City Council changed the golf cart ordinance to allow UTVs, also known as side-by-sides, on City streets.

Councilmen Corey Jordan and John Burgess voted yes. Councilmen Jonathan Perry and Sheldon Smith voted no.

On a roll-call vote, Mayor Pro Tem Andrea Pierce voted to break the tie in favor of passage.

Whether the change stays on the books remains to be seen.
