Mayor Lumpkin resigns

Dear Members of the City Council and Citizens of Ashburn,

After careful consideration, I am submitting my resignation letter as Mayor of Ashburn, effective immediately.

Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside dedicated council members, city employees, volunteers, and residents to help make our city a better place.

This decision was not made lightly. Due to health reasons, I believe it is in the best interest of the city that I step aside at this time.

I am proud of what we have accomplished together and remain confident in the city’s future. I appreciate the trust and support you have shown me throughout my service.

Thank you for the privilege of serving as your mayor. I wish continued success to the city and its leadership.
