Sycamore ends year with budget surplus
Sycamore ended the fiscal year with a $797K surplus.
“The budget was great, excellent for the year,” said Mayor Wayne Woodruff. “Every department held down the budget. I think this is excellent.”
The Council thanked the various departments and department heads for watching their budgets over the past fiscal year which ended June 30. The new fiscal year started July 1.
Councilman Fred Eister said other tax-collecting boards in Turner County should pay attention to that.
“I will help give instructions to the County Commission to prepare a budget. I will help with that,” he said.
